Laparoscopic Surgery: Advanced, Minimally Invasive Care for Your Pet

At Blanchard Valley Veterinary Clinic, we are proud to offer laparoscopic surgery, a minimally invasive technique that uses small incisions, a tiny camera, and specialized instruments to perform a variety of procedures with less pain and faster recovery for your pet.

This advanced technology allows us to perform surgeries such as:

  • Laparoscopic Spay

  • Gastropexy (Stomach Tacking)

  • Cryptorchid Neuter

  • Liver Biopsies

  • Abdominal Exploratories

With just two small incisions, many of these procedures can be completed with significantly less trauma, reducing discomfort and healing time.

We also offer flexible endoscopy, which allows us to retrieve gastric foreign bodies and collect GI tract samples without the need for abdominal surgery, providing a less invasive and safer option for diagnostic and treatment procedures.

Benefits of Laparoscopic Surgery:

  • Smaller incisions

  • Less post-operative pain

  • Faster recovery time

Let’s be honest, your pet isn’t always going to take it easy after surgery. With laparoscopic techniques, you can feel more confident knowing they are healing with fewer restrictions and greater comfort.
