Learn Who We Are

  • TF
    Dr. Tony Fuller

    Dr. Fuller grew up in central Alabama and Kenya, Africa. He earned his BA in Biology from Asbury College in Kentucky and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.

    He lives in Findlay with his wife, Joanne, their dogs Sep and Asami, and a cat named Faen. The Fullers have 3 children, Joran, Alaya, and Kale and a granddaughter, Mara.

    In his free time, Dr. Fuller enjoys fishing, boating, disc golf, gastronomy, reading, and watching movies.

    Dr. Tyler Fields

    Originally from Marion, OH, Dr. Field was actively involved in the performing arts throughout his youth, participating in Marching Band, Jazz Band, Choir, and Show Choir. His passion for veterinary medicine began with raising rabbits and poultry as 4-H projects. He attended the University of Findlay for his undergraduate degree, where he served as an R.A. and played the Euphonium and French Horn in the band. He went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University and served as the Oxbow Animal Health student representative.

    Outside of work, Dr. Field enjoys playing music, hiking, and relaxing with his cats, Ham & Bean. A true 'foodie,' he loves discovering new restaurants and culinary experiences. His professional interests include Ophthalmology and Cardiology.

  • Kara
    Dr. Kara Schmidt

    Dr. Schmidt, originally from Waterville, OH, graduated from the University of Findlay and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. After spending time in Columbus for veterinary school, she was excited to return to Northwest Ohio and join the BVVC team.

    In her free time, Dr. Schmidt enjoys reading, kayaking, fishing, visiting family, and traveling to Northern Michigan whenever she can. She currently lives in Findlay with her dog, Sophie, and her Beta fish, Pearly Pete.

    Her professional interests include canine and feline cardiology, soft tissue surgery, and minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopic surgery and endoscopy.

    Laura K - Our Comptroller

    Laura, has been employed by us since 2005, handling our finances and is friend to all furry pets, but especially cats, including her own kitties, Watson and Webster.

  • Joanne
    Joanne - Receptionist and Veterinary Social Worker

    Joanne, is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and has completed a Veterinary Social Worker Certification.  She works with clients who have to make difficult decisions, have a loss or with staff in stressful situations.

  • Julia
    Julia - Lead Technician

    Julia began her career as a veterinary assistant in 2005. After earning her Registered Veterinary Technician license, she worked at a major referral hospital before joining the BVVC team in the fall of 2011. Julia has a special interest in behavior and surgery. She and her family share their home with two dogs: a Doberman Pinscher named Georgia and a Shih Tzu mix named Lando, they also have a cat named Pete.

    Elizabeth - RVT & Inventory Manager

    Elizabeth was welcomed to the clinic in 2015 as a technician and is also our Inventory Manager. She and her husband have a dog, BB and three cats. 

  • Kendall
    Kendall - RVT

    Kendall lives here in Findlay and enjoys spending time with her husband, Roy, three dogs, Jerry, Daisy and Wren; and four cats, Rocket, Nermal, Seven and Void. 

  • Cathy
    Cathy - RVT

    Cathy joined the team in March 2021. She has been in the veterinary field since 2004. Originally from Tiffin, she now lives in Fostoria with her 2 teenage sons, Blake and Devon and her three cats, Pebbles, Sylvester and Veda. 

  • Leandra
    Leandra - RVT

    Leandra joined our team in May 2018, she is from Tiffin. Leandra has always had a passion for rescuing and caring for animals, with a particular love for working as an exotic animal nurse. Leandra lives in Findlay with her four dogs, Khaos, Chester, Bella and Buster, along with seven rescued cats and a variety of other furred, scaled, and feathered pets.

  • Maddie
    Maddie - Technician's Assistant & Nutritional Advisor

    Maddie started working with us in August of 2019 and is studying to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She lives in Bluffton with her two chocolate labs, Paisley, Presley, a German shepherd, Zoe and cats Bubbles, Cheeto and Clementine. 

  • Jeanni
    Jeanni - Technician's Assistant

    Jeanni is currently attending Stautzenberger college to work towards her Veterinarian Technician degree. She is a lover of cats and has three of her own, Monroe, Beau and Pye. She also has a dog named Arya. 

  • Lexi
    Lexi - Client Care Coordinator

    Lexi is a graduate of the University of Findlay. She's always had a love for animals and even started a petition in first grade to get a class pet! She and her Husband reside in Findlay with their large family of dogs, cats, reptiles, birds and pocket pets.

  • April
    April - Practice Manager

    April, is a Michigan native, and has been in involved with veterinary medicine since 2009. She is responsible for the business side of our Veterinary Clinic. She lives in Upper Sandusky with her husband, two cats, Trinket and Phillip and her two dogs an American Hairless Terrier, Reddy and a poodle mix, Little Black Betty.
