Serve Our Servers
It has been over a week since we participated at Dogpawlooza to support the Humane Society and SPCA of Hancock County.
Dogpawlooza 2016 weekend was a perfect venue for us to present (4) Tactical K9 Trauma Kits from ReadyDog K-9 First Aid. http://www.readydogproducts.com/
One kit was presented to each K9 unit: Sonny https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100006121575460&fref=ts and Charlie https://www.facebook.com/hcso.charlie?fref=ts with Hancock County Sheriff’s Office. Ace with the Carey Police Department https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100011451205937&fref=ts . As a clinic we love to try and help stretch the dollars and support for our local service canines. Did you know most if not all law enforcement K9 units are financially supported through fundraising and out of pocket by the handlers?
Officer Miller and all of the handlers are huge advocates for all K9 units and their efforts to provide the best care for their K9 officers. Officer Miller asked us if we could support an upcoming seminar Hancock County Sheriff's Office was providing to K9 units throughout Ohio. From that conversation came the idea for Trauma Kits for the K9 units. We were able to purchase the exact K9 Trauma Kits that Officer Miller used as an example. We were also able to piece together 19 MORE Trauma Bags to be given away to other K9 units. We hope that all 23 never have the need to use these kits, but they have them ready for use in case of emergency.
A HUGE thanks to Green Guard, Merial, Idexx, MWI and the entire staff of BVVC for making the Trauma Kits possible.
We are proud to be locally owned and able to support our local law enforcement and service animals. They proudly serve us daily, and respond to emergencies that would send most of us running in the opposite direction. If you are interested in learning more about these brave units or how you can support them, please visit their Facebook accounts listed above or contact your local law enforcement agency and ask how you can help “Serve our Servers”.
